When You’re Going to San Francisco: Pier 39

When we arrived in San Francisco, our first stop was the famous Pier 39. Even though it was mid-June, the chilly wind made it feel colder than expected. Standing on the pier, our eyes traced the iconic Golden Gate Bridge and the silhouette of Alcatraz. The cold weather seemed to imbue the scene with a sense of detachment from time—a moment suspended in the cool breeze.

And then we heard them—the sea cats. Their loud calls were like people bargaining in a bustling market, competing for the last piece of fruit. These creatures, louder than the seagulls, joined the natural symphony: the wind’s whispering melody, the rhythmic waves, and the distant music from nearby shops and attractions. It all blended together in the lively atmosphere of Pier 39.
